Losin' it!!!

Well, I definitely need to get to bloggin' way more often! As of right now, I am in Maryland staying with my sister and her husband and son. This is doubling as a summer vacation...and boot camp! I have been struggling with some major weight issues, mostly because I'm lazy, and my sister is helping me out! I have been here 4 days and I can already tell a difference in my energy levels! It's a really great time for me because my sister has been really good about being healthy and working out regularly, whereas I, have not. So, this is a major lifestyle change for me, and it's going great so far! I have eaten more vegetables in the past 4 days than I have in my entire life! We are working out about once or twice a day as well. This is going to be really great for me and I can't wait to reach my goal and become a new person!

One nation...UNDER GOD!

It's been a while since I last blogged, but I'm returning on a more specific note this time. It involves an article I found on Yahoo.com as I was checking my e-mail just about 5 minutes ago. Apparently there was some atheist group in North Carolina that decided it would be a good idea to make a giant billboard saying "One nation...Indivisible." What's wrong with this, you might ask? The line "Under God" is missing. The point of the article, however, comes in because some unknown vandals spray painted the missing words onto the billboard! This made me very happy to see that some people in this nation still believe that God should be a part of our lives. Of course there are legal actions being taken because of the vandalism and the "defacing" of public property. Whatever. I'm extremely offended by the sign in the first place, so how about some legal action against the inconsiderate atheists who apparently NEED to get their atheism publicized. There's no doubt that they were intentionally trying to piss off the Christian community more than they were actually trying to get their own name out. Which is totally O.K.! I remember when the Chronicles of Narnia movie came out back in 2005, and it was within the first week of its' theatrical release that I saw a news segment saying "Is the Chronicles of Narnia TOO religious?" How about being too ATHEIST??? I get physically disgusted when I think about how twisted this whole issue of "Church and State" has become. It's like people have completely forgotten what our nation was built on. There are many better ways for an atheist group to make their existence known. This is not only extremely uncalled for, but it's also just another chance for everyone who DOESN'T believe in God to try and piss off the population that does believe. It's a sad, sad fact that people can't just live their lives, but they really feel the need to offend someone. Well, I'd say they got what was coming to them.

Updated life

I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE SPLICE TOMORROW! I have a sweet new job. I make fat cash errday. hahaha. I haven't posted anything new for a while...I've been kinda lazy haha! But I'm havin a blast this summer so far! I can't remember if I've mentioned this already but I'm doing a summer movie project with Ball State for the TCOM department. We have already done three days of shooting and its been awesome! Im a camera man and I really like it so far. But tomorrow we have a night shoot so we don't even start til 9pm...which means I'm sleeping IN TOMORROW! haha. I have a bunch of videos that I've worked on this past year and I really need to get them uploaded! I need make a resume reel too...hmmm I should get on that hahaha. Can't wait for SportsLink in the Fall and to be CardinalVision General Manager!! I'm really pumped to be stepping up and taking on a really important position for the TCOM department. I'm honored that I can be trusted with something like that and I can't wait for it to kick into gear!! That's all for now haha..

Finals week...you suck

Well...I don't know why I'm complaining. I only have ONE final this semester. And I just took it. It was in Spanish 201, and I'm pretty sure I got like a C. I actually feel like I got a B- but I always do worse than I think so I don't want to get my hopes up. Anyway, today I had my final at 7:30 this morning, I have a 5 page paper to turn in at 10, I have to pick up a Creative Writing project from my prof so I know what I got, and then I have a "final" in my TCOM class. Actually we're just watching our projects that we've been working on the past couple weeks. It's not really a final. But anyway, I have a quiz to do online by Friday too. But that'll be easy. I'm just glad Spanish is over! Even though I have another semester of it to take. TCOM requires 4 semesters of a foreign language, and next semester is my last! I can't wait to be done! I kind of enjoy Spanish, but the teacher teaches all in Spanish, so it's hard to really comprehend sometimes. Plus there's so many different verb forms and conjugations I can't keep them straight. That's the most confusing part. But just one semester left!!! I can't wait to sleep in all day everyday this next week. Summer classes start the 17th of May, so I get some time off! I am so tired all the time because I had an 8am and a 9am every other day this semester. I am not a morning person at all. If I could just sleep in at least once over the week that'd be awesome. But next semester will rock cuz I'm not taking any classes before 11am! Yep, can't wait. Well, this has gone on long enough....hasta luego!

BORED!@#$%^&*()

Hahaha...I'm watching To Catch A Predator. This show is awesome. I love seeing these filthy dirtbags get caught. And then they try to deny anything. Even though the evidence is all right there. Speaking of Predator...the new Predator movie is coming out soon!!!!! I can't wait. It's directed by Robert Rodriguez. I really like his movies because he does a lot of sci-fi and creative stuff. Anyway, the movie is called "Predators." Notice the "S" on the end. They're taking the same road that the Alien franchise took. Instead of "Alien 2" they slap an "S" on there and make it plural. I think it's pretty cool though. But it took a couple movies for the Predator franchise to catch on to that tactic. There was the first one with the "Govern-ator!" haha. Then the second one...simply called "Predator 2" lol...with Danny Glover. And then there was the epic failure known as "Alien Vs. Predator" which spawned a sequel "AVP: Requiem." Yeah, not really sure where the whole idea of requiem fits into that category...but not including the AVP movies, "Predators" will officially make the Predators franchise a trilogy. I love trilogies. I just think they're a good way to build a story and conclude it all together within three movies. Usually sequels are worse than the originals but there've been a few good ones. Shrek 2 was awesome! Scream 2...awesome! But anyway...I just really can't wait for Predator-S. haha...

Slightly controversial/depressing

So, unless you've been living under a rock for the past decade or so, everyone's probably heard about the Mayan prophecy that the world is going to end in the year 2012. Well, I've grown up in a very religious home my whole life, so I was raised to believe that any prophecy or prediction was false and that no one can predict the end of the world. Well, I'm not saying that I believe it, but it's hard to not have doubts when we look at the shape our world is in today. The lack of morals and the way that the media manipulates everyone in such a liberal way is truly scary to think about. I don't know that much about the federal government and the whole political system, so I'm not going to try to sound like I do. But what I do know is that Obama is a truly evil human being. He has no morals and he does not have any faith in this country. People say that Bush was such a terrible president, well in my opinion he wasn't conservative enough. He did what the people wanted and then when that fell through, the people blamed him. And when you think about all of the things that we have as consumers and the development of new technology, we have way more than we need. Obviously it makes life easier, but how much of this stuff do we actually need? I wasn't alive back in the pilgrim days, but people worked hard back then and they appreciated what they had. Now, everything is just taken for granted. This is honestly why I feel that it's all coming to an end. I don't mean to be a "debbie downer" lol, but I don't think that God would be very happy with the direction we are headed in right now. At the same time, however, I feel that everything happens at a certain time for a reason. So, maybe this is all meant to play out this way. Hopefully somewhere down the road we'll have a president that is more concerned with re-building a solid Democracy. Universal health care is certainly not the way to do that. And all I can say to the people that think it's a good idea is just wait. Yeah, it's all nice to have tax payers pay for your health care so that you don't have to, but when the working class is going broke because we're paying for you people, we'll see how great of shape we're in.

Brand spankin' new

Well, this is my first post on my new blog! I'm a little new to this blog stuff, but I think I'm gonna catch on. It's like a new shiny toy that a little kid gets, I'm gonna be addicted for a while. But I like to write, and since I can write something new everyday I probably won't get sick of it. Either way, I'm pretty boring. I'm trying to focus on this English paper, but instead I decided to write my first blog. My sister Nicole got me started, so I blame her. I'll just tell my teacher that I had to blog and that's why my paper isn't done. She's one of the most laid back people I've ever met, so she'd probably just say "Okay, just e-mail it to me when you're done!" I could do that, but I won't take advantage of the situation. I'm a good student. I go to Ball State, and I'm a Telecommunications major. No, it has nothing to do with telephones. Well...I guess it kinda does. It just deals with modern technology. But within TCOM you can have a more specific focus, like Sales & Promotion, News, Film & TV studies, or Film Production. I'm in Film Production. Why, you ask? Well it's simple...I want to direct porn! Haha, JK! Idk why but I have loved movies ever since I was a kid...I won't get into too much detail because I could probably write a whole other post on why I love movies, but I'll keep it simple. I am a creative person, and movies are a really fun way to release my creativity. That, and I love to write. Which is probably why this post is becoming so long. I'm double minoring in Creative Writing and Digital Media. Tryin' to make myself more marketable for when I graduate. My career is my foremost concentration in life right now. I'm in a fraternity called Delta Gamma Iota (DGI). It's a small one, only two chapters, but I like it. I really want to lead the fraternity as President sometime soon. Hopefully when I'm a senior, before I graduate. I never really thought I'd be the type of person to be a leader, but here I am, holding positions and doing my own thing. It's a great gig. I like it a lot...so now I wanna be President! haha..back to the kid with the shiny new toy...my bad. I think I'd do a good job. Speaking of job, I need one! Money...I don't really wanna get started on this issue because it depresses me. I need a job so I can have money! My mom keeps giving me money and stuff and I feel really bad for always asking, but I haven't really had any luck getting a job this semester. I had one last semester, but I quit. Because I'm an idiot. But I think I know of a good one that I'm probably going to get at a Chinese place as a delivery boy because my brother worked there before he graduated. I need to get on that!...Alright, well this has turned into a ridiculously long blog, but It's my first one, so I thought I'd talk about myself a little bit...I guess I'm good at that..haha!
Okay, I have another thought, but I'm going to save that for a new blog post. It's intense...be there...
